Location

Remote, with preference for hybrid candidates near Lexington, KY.

Who You Are

Are you a software engineer who values people as much as technology? If you have senior-level engineering experience (especially in an agency or consulting environment) and enjoy mentoring others, this role could be a great fit. While formal people management experience is a plus, we expect this could be the first management-track role for our ideal candidate.

What You'll Do

Leadership, Management, and Accountability

  • Support 3-5 team members to excel in their roles and grow their careers
  • Celebrate team and individual achievements
  • Hold team members accountable to their commitments

Project Strategy

  • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, design, and QA teams to define project roadmaps
  • Break down work into manageable tasks and assign them effectively
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients

Review and Improve Work

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Help improve internal tools and processes
  • Share insights with the principal engineer to influence company technical strategy

Feature Implementation

  • Accurately predict and maintain a reasonable development velocity
  • Deliver your own assigned features on time
  • Ensure the team meets its target velocity
