OuiBox is a social network app that is similar to Facebook. Apax Software developed this social network to allow users to connect with friends through messages, posts, pictures, music or videos.

OuiWrite is an app that can format papers, resumes, letters or bibliographies. OuiWrite can also link writing to its original source and cite text for the user. Apax Software created 2 brains, one that performs a macro analysis of writing profiles and preferences of all OuiWrite users to deliver better results, and a second that performs a micro analysis delivering information from the Internet based on their unique writing type.

Through the use of powerful Javascript code and a mix of jQuery, APAX was able to add interactivity and breath new visual life into the home page and internal page templates of this site.

Alltech

The Alltech apps allow users to view commodity prices, health issues relating to pigs, and local weather reports. Apax developed identical iPhone, Android, and Blackberry apps for Alltech.

The apps are integrated with a SharePoint database to provide up-to-date health care information related to raising pigs. The apps also link to web views of 3rd party websites for both the commodity prices and local weather reports.

iJonze

iJonze is a mobile solution that connects you to deals, discounts, and happenings in Kentucky. Apax developed identical iPhone and Android apps for iJonze.

Apax developed the app to use the mobile phone’s GPS system to link the user’s location to surrounding deals, discounts, and happenings. iJonze is unique because the user is able to search for existing deals and also request deals from participating companies.

Oink-A-Saurus

Oink-A-Saurus is a fun filled learning app that can increase kids’ interest in the stock market.

Apax Software incorporated multiple algorithms to aid learning in “what-if” scenarios or outcomes for pretend stock investments of users. Apax also incorporated Yahoo!’s product search API and Google’s Finance API to query and display stock information for the users’ favorite brands.

Hallway Feeds

Hallway Feeds is an app that directs horse lovers to all the latest equine headlines. This app connects users to over 75 different news sources related to the horse industry.

Apax Software created a robust administrative system that allows Hallway Feeds to easily manage the RSS feeds, categories, and advertisements delivered to the mobile application.

Fashion Me

Fashion Me is an iPhone app that allows users to view what clothes would look like on them as they shop.

Apax Software developed the app for the user to take a picture of themselves using their smart phone, and then use the picture to view themselves in different articles of clothing. The app features different clothing available to try on which are separated in different categories like bottoms, shirts, dresses, and skirts. The user then has the ability to purchase the selected clothes from within the app.

UK Gluck Equine Research Center

The University of Kentucky Gluck Equine Research Center Horohov lab wanted an iPad app to help facilitate with their data collection process. The lab regularly conducts medical examinations of horses and needed an easy way to input this data into a database via an iPad.

Apax Software created a database back-end and iPad app front end for UK Gluck Equine Research Center. Apax implemented a database model, including configurable studies/forms/subjects, for their back-end. Apax then configured studies, forms, and subjects for the user side of the app.

Take it Artside!

Take it Artside is an app that allows the user to locate surrounding art based on their current location.

Apax Software created the app to utilize the iPhone’s GPS coordinates to locate the user and the art pieces surrounding them. Apax also implemented an algorithm that allows the user to track the distance they travel from piece to piece making it a fun way to work out.

This app is available in both the iPhone and Android store.

Partners for Prevention

Partners for Prevention is a research study being conducted by the University or Kentucky. They required a mechanism that researchers could use while collecting data on the field to eliminate paper copies.

Apax Software developed a solution for Partners for Prevention in the form of an iOS app. The app can store a substantial amount of surveys at one time, have the surveys available in multiple languages and the surveys are equipped with different skip patterns.

BKFK is an agency that encourages kid-driven innovation by creating contests for kid inventions. Their website allows kids to enter these contests by completing and submitting entry forms.
